Filtering Changelogs

When viewing a changelog page you have the ability to filter content in a variety of ways, based on what you wish to have displayed.

Filtering by release note type

The Changelog Tools area contains buttons from which you can choose to filter the displayed changelog type.

For example, selecting the Defects button filters out all Enhancement and Feature types, leaving only the Defect types.

Filtering content dynamically

Changelog pages have a unique filtering feature that allows you to quickly and easily filter out (hide) all content that does not meet your provided criteria.

Typing text in the provided text box immediately starts dynamically displaying only the content that meets your typed text. The more characters you type, the more the content is filtered.

For example, typing the string "export" in the filter box displays the following results.

Filtering is not limited to the titles of the release notes. You can also filter content by literraly any string on the page. Try some of the following:
  • Enter "sprint 4" to show only release notes from that sprint.
  • Enter "DV" to show only release notes for Dictionary Viewer (or "RE" for Requirements Editor).
  • Enter a PBI number to zero in on a specific backlog item.

Folding content

You can toggle the folding (expand/contract) of the displayed content by selecting Expand/Collapse All. This simultaneously expands all collapsed release notes and collapses all expanded release notes.
Note: This function also works for filtered content. For example, if you have only Enhancements currently displayed (the other types were filtered out) you will still only see the expanded or collapsed Enhancements.
